Information we handle

• Purchase and license information: your email address, order or subscription identifier, license key, license and subscription status, activation identifier or label, and related timestamps.
• Support information: your email address and the content of messages and attachments you choose to send us.
• Technical information: our hosting and security providers may process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, date and time, and error or diagnostic information.
• Extension activity: when you invoke VideoPro on a webpage, the extension accesses page and media-request information needed to detect and present available media. A license key and activation information may be sent to our licensing service to verify paid features.

Payment details are entered directly into the checkout operated by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your complete card number or card security code.

How we use information

• provide, operate, troubleshoot, and secure the Service;
• process purchases and manage subscriptions and licenses;
• respond to support requests and service communications;
• prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce legal rights.

We do not sell personal information or browsing activity, and we do not use browsing activity for personalized advertising.

How we disclose information

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:

• service providers that support hosting, database, payment, subscription, licensing, security, and customer-support functions, including Stripe or Polar when used at checkout and Google Cloud/Firebase for license administration;
• comply with law, legal process, or valid governmental requests, or protect users, the public, our rights, or the security of the Service; and
• a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices where they act independently, including when they process payments.

Cookies and local storage

VideoPro and its service providers may use cookies or similar storage that are necessary for checkout, security, preferences, and customer-portal sessions. We do not currently use advertising cookies on the VideoPro website. Third-party checkout or portal pages may use cookies under their own privacy notices.

Retention and security

We retain purchase and license records while your license or subscription is active and afterward as reasonably needed for support, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Support messages and technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also appeal a decision or complain to your local data protection authority. These rights may be subject to exceptions.

International processing and children

We and our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
